Will J Phoenix – Stories Born From Survival

Welcome to the official site of Will J Phoenix — novelist, survivor, and storyteller.

After pleading innocent to the crimes he was accused and convicted of, Will J Phoenix served a prison sentence and now faces deportation from the only country he has ever truly known — the place he’s called home for over 45 years since arriving as a baby. Despite the injustice, he found a way to rise from the depths and reclaim his voice..

In the face of despair, he chose to write.

While behind bars and later in a detention centre, Will began creating fictional worlds rooted in harsh realities. Drawing from his lived experiences, he wrote every single day — crafting dozens of stories to keep his spirit alive and his mind free from the torment that surrounded him. These weren’t just stories. They were his lifeline.

His work is raw, emotional, and laced with moments of dark humour and sharp insight. Although names have been changed to protect the individuals involved, the truth, pain, and power behind each tale remains real. These stories are a window into a world that most never see, told with unflinching honesty and humanity.
